Modern pagans and Wiccans today have returned to the history of Halloween in their celebrations. They observe October 31st as Halloween or Samhain, and honor it as their New Year. This is the day believed to be when the veil that separates the living and the dead is at its thinnest. Samhain is also the day that the pagan god dies, to be re-born again during Yule. 2011 Ladner Halloween Family Fright Fest

Halloween arrived early in Ladner village and people celebrated the 2011 Family Fright Fest in and around McKee Seniors Recreation Centre in Ladner, South Delta, BC, Canada on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011. There was trick or treating at the late Victorian-era McKee Heritage House and a street festival that included entertainment, face painting, crafts, hayrides, spooky stories, a mad scientist display and delicious food from Kee Café. The McKee Heritage House was transformed into a spooky haunted house by students of South Delta Secondary School (SDSS) for this annual event, which is now in its fourth year. The festival's theme this year was Madame McKee's Wax Museum and Chamber of Horrors. The two-storey wood-frame John McKee Residence (McKee House) is located on the south edge of Ladner village (Arthur Drive @ 47th Avenue), and is recognizable for its stacked front verandahs and scroll-cut ornamentation. This heritage house was built in 1895 for Thomas Kerr, a partner in the Grant and Kerr Sawmill, which was located on the western side of Chilukthan Slough. When the mill relocated to Port Guichon, Kerr sold the house to John McKee and his wife, Margaret, in 1898. The home passed to their son John McKee Jr. after the death of his father in 1900. John married Lilla McNeill in 1903, after which time the house became known as 'Rosetta.' The McKees enlarged and remodelled the house in 1912. Halloween 12x12 page set and a sneak view into my craft room

My first two scrapbooking pages. Believe it or not none of it was done with my Cricut! I think for 3d I did a pretty good job. Now I don't consider myself a scrapbooker, I prefer the term multi media artist,,,no offense ladies but I like way too many crafts to label myself. But in general I think I did pretty good. Years ago scrapbooking was 2d with pre cuts, stickers and stamps. Now it's 3d and I love that. I don't allow my hubby to throw anything away without me checking pile. I love to recycle what I can. Now the 2nd part is my craft room. I did this video after doing yet again a 360 on my crafting. I was heavily into bath n body all natural products...which i will occasionaly still make some soap but only a few times a year...wait till I share how to make laundry soap! But since video I have doubled my supplies. I love grabbing deals, from stores, to yard sales, to eBay (any place online...maybe I'll share eventually a few of my favs).
